This work presents the results of research carried out on the educational inclusion of students targeted by Special Education in a public school in the municipality of Isaías Coelho-PI. Its main objective is to investigate the inclusion of target audience students in Special Education in a municipality in the interior of the state of Piauí, seeking to understand the training of teachers and the pedagogical practices adopted. The research methodology consisted of a semi-structured interview with teachers. The results show that Special Education's target audience students are facing significant challenges in relation to educational inclusion, as there is a gap between what is established in laws, frameworks and regulations and the reality of teachers who teach Special Education's target audience students. Special education. Furthermore, it is clear that teachers face difficulties when teaching Special Education target students, due to their initial training and lack of continuing training.
