Abstract

The researcher Francisco J. S. A. Luis dedicated ten years of research on the subject of transvestites in Portugal which resulted in his doctoral thesis and has now been published in book format. The author makes an interesting analogy between gender and / or sex migrations and travel-related migrations to tourism, emphasizing the oscillation between a house, bio-social-cultural gender, and an out-of-home, referring to a welcoming environment in which there is a difference between migration and tourism.
