Abstract

This study evaluated the impact of media education practices in the implementation of an intervention project during the school management internship, focusing on the critical skills developed to consume and produce digital content. The management internship was seen as a point of convergence between theory and practice, enabling interns to understand both the challenges of educational management and media education practices. Participant observation, audiovisual recordings, field notes, and discussion groups were used to assess the media education activities developed in schools. The results indicate that, although students are immersed in digital media, their use of these tools for educational purposes is still incipient. The article concludes that school management plays a central role in promoting media education, which not only complements the curriculum but also prepares students to face the challenges of the digital age.
