Abstract

The current scenario related to the rights of women and LGBTQI population has been marked by numerous attempts to withdraw rights. There is an open onslaught against the feminist agenda taking place in institutional spaces. In Brazil, conservative religious sectors have stood out in this performance, but allied to them and with great notoriety are the anti-feminists. Thus, this text seeks, through a bibliographic survey about the performance of anti-feminists in the Brazilian Federal Chamber, to analyze the performance of these parliamentarians. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to identify the profile, guidelines, arguments, and main actions of these parliamentarians, to contribute with readings on the conjuncture of withdrawal of rights and disdemocracy in the country.

Socióloga e mestre em educação pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ. Especialista em gênero e sexualidade pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro - UERJ e doutora em Política Social pela Unversidade Federal Fluminense - UFF. Professora assistente desde 2014 da Universidade Estácio de Sá e professora substitura da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
