GEOGRAPHY TEACHING AND TEACHER TRAINING: A PROPOSAL TO DEBATE THE WORLD CAPITAL AND GEOGRAPHICAL SCALE THEMES

Abstract

The paper discusses the importance of the debate in the teaching of geography of the issue of capital globalization and territorial reordering based on a methodological proposal that seeks an articulation of these themes in the understanding of the production of geographic space. As these cannot be disregarded from the basic formation of teachers, we privileged during our experiences in the Regional Studies Discipline III, of the Geography Course (Undergraduate) of the Federal University of Acre, theoretical discussions with the academics in this regard, such as: regionalization of space geographic scale, internationalization of capital, productive restructuring and its social and environmental reflexes. After the initial theoretical-methodological foundation it is proposed as activity to the students to elaborate thematic seminars on “the new (dis) world order”, with which we seek to focus the new American imperialism, Japan in the new world order. , globalization and territorial reorganization in Europe, as well as China in the context of globalization, always articulating the local, regional, national and global.
