In the waters and forests of the Acre Amazons, women who maintain intense exchanges and negotiations of values, knowledge in the care of themselves and others live (or survive). That said, this study aims to analyze representations about women, based on the work Rios e Barrancos do Acre, by Mário Maia and the life story of Dona Raimunda Alves Feitosa, to reflect on the constitution of women's work, their work, social and cultural activities, in cities and in the Fores, categorized as helpers, companions, midwives, prostitutes, objects of men's pleasure. However, agents are active in the memorialistic, social and political construction of the region. "Dona da Mata e Dona de casa”". Now 92 years old, mother of twelve children, the interviewee was born and worked on rubber plantations in the current Vale do Juruá-Acre Mesoregion. Life story that represents a legacy of women in different forms of work in rubber plantations and cities, however made invisible and silenced by official historiography, presented in books, newspapers, historical documents, as well as in literary works written by men and women, such as Rios and Barrancos do Acre, by emphasizing the representations of these women in a submissive way to male power and in places of prostitution, bars where they provoke fights and riots. From this perspective, this study is qualitative in nature, bibliographic and life trajectory, and therefore, in this way, the analyzes were based on studies by Albuquerque (2016/2019); Benchimol (1999); Evaristo (2020); Foucault (2014); Wolff (1999), among other authors.
