The Importance of Internship in Graduate Degree and Academic Difficulties in Rio Branco - Acre Schools

Abstract

Introduction: An internship is a tool that helps in preparing the future teacher to deal with the various situations that occur in the reality of the classroom and the school context. This study will aim to analyze the importance of the internship for teacher training and the difficulties that many undergraduate Geography students face in Rio Branco schools. Objective: This paper aims to understand the importance of internship for the formation of Geography teachers and the difficulties that undergraduate students face in internship practice in Rio Branco schools. Methodology: The research will be developed as an individual activity linked to the PET-Geography Tutorial Education Program group and is based on readings of texts related to the internship area and its importance in teacher education, the role of education and the teacher. Interviews will also be conducted to know the opinion of academics regarding the importance of the internship in undergraduate and the difficulties they face in schools, all related to the reading of bibliographies on the subject. Results: From reading texts that deal with the subject, it is being possible to understand that the internship is important in the formation of new teachers because it is through this activity that they can be closer to the reality of the school, have greater contact with the students. students and analyze what improvements should be made to improve their work as educators. Conclusions: This paper seeks to emphasize the importance of the internship that sometimes becomes undervalued within the schools themselves, the lack of zeal for the trainee in schools makes this discipline a burden, the students are already scared and afraid of reception.
