GLYPHOSATE SUBDOSES IN EUCALYPTUS Seedlings
Abstract
Systemic herbicides have been used at low concentrations to cause a stimulating effect known as hormones. The objective of this work was to evaluate the vegetative development of eucalyptus seedlings when submitted to different glyphosate underdoses. The seedlings were produced in 40 2 liter polyethylene bags where they were filled with a mixture of soil and Vivatto Plus®. Design with 5 treatments and 8 repetitions. Glyphosate at doses of 0; 4.5; 9; 18 and 36 g e.a. ha-1, being applied with the aid of a costal sprayer equipped with CO2. Variables: plant height, base and first node diameter, number of leaves. Data means were submitted to Tukey test (p> 0.05). It was observed that the different underdoses did not cause significant stimulation when compared to the control in any evaluated variable, however, treatment 4 was numerically superior in all evaluated variables.
