WEBSITE: ASPECTOS GERAIS DA ACESSIBILIDADE EM AMBIENTES FÍSICOS
Abstract
This work aimed to promote the dissemination of general accessibility information and contribute to the awareness of people through the creation of a website. The study was developed at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Paraíba (IFPB) in Esperança-PB. WordPress was used, a software developed in the PHP programming language with the MySQL Database Manager System, which uses the SQL language as an interface. In addition to this process, we used brModel, which acts as an initial modeler of what will be done in the system, and Lucidchart that is used to allow users to collaborate in the design, review, and sharing of graphs and diagrams. We also used a platform called Hostinger, which serves as hosting for WordPress. It consisted of a qualitative and descriptive research, based on interview and questionnaire application. According to the results obtained with the application of the questionnaire, it was observed that 82.9% of the interviewed students think that their school is not accessible, and 87.4% of the interviewed students do not think that the physical environments are accessible. 98.2% say that cities in general are not accessible. 37.8% of respondents had not heard about accessibility and social inclusion. 96.4% believe that a site can help in promoting accessibility and social inclusion, and these same people also said that they would access the site. Thus, becoming visible the level of acceptance of this idea. Regarding the site rating, 94.6% of the students rated the site as great.
