REPRESENTATION, MEDIATION AND NEGOTATION OF VOICES IN THE FILM ITÃO KUEGÜ: AS HIPER MULHERES

Abstract

This article aims to reflect on cultural domain with regards to the social world, taking into consideration the symbolic relevance of cultural mediations. This reflection on mediation is mainly grounded on the theoretical contributions of Jean Caune (1999), Louis Quèrè (1982) and Jean-Louis Comolli (2008) on the symbolic processes inherent to social life. In order to illuminate such perspective, commentary will be made on the documentary Itão kuegü: as hiper mulheres (Leonardo Sette, Carlos Fausto e Takumã Kuikuro, 2011) as it highlights the procedures of the approach and the resources used to express and narrate in this representation. The objective of this article is to analyze the ways in which the scene enacted in the film stands in opposition to the ones in the social world, inviting spectators to a new distribution.
