Abstract

The objective of this work was to present an experience report on the application of an interdisciplinary Didactic Unit (DU) on the subject of healthy eating and health education. The activities were developed by Elementary School II students from a State School located in the city of Taipu, Rio Grande do Norte. The DU was structured in three stages with activities involving problematizing issues, namely: dialogical classes on food and health; construction and socialization of the food diary; study of the environment through conducting interviews in the community; setting up a database and creating graphics on the main nutritional diseases in the community and creating and disseminating posters on social networks. The results obtained show the contributions of the UD to students' learning about the different nutrients that make up food and to raising their awareness of the importance of consuming a healthy diet, in addition to raising attention to the triggering of nutritional diseases related to the deficit nutritional.
