Technological development has been transforming the world scenario, bringing reflections on the way we communicate. The new means of interaction are also changing the way of teaching, with countless tools to help in the teaching and learning process. With this, video classes stand out as great allies of teachers, since by elaborating them makes teaching personalized, which can further contribute to student learning. Given the relevance of using Digital Technologies of Information and Communication (TDIC), it was proposed to academics participating in the Methodology and Didactics for Teaching Chemistry curricular unit, from the 6th phase of the Licentiate Degree in Chemistry at IFSC - Câmpus Criciúma, that produce practical and experimental video lessons. It is believed that the activity developed contributed to the initial training of academics, as in addition to knowledge related to teaching methodologies, the video lessons produced can be used in their future teaching practices.
