Abstract

Research carried out in the field of science education has shown concern with scientific education aimed at training reflective and critical citizens and the need for teaching about science that includes the nature of science. The contribution of the history and philosophy of science in the teaching of chemistry has been academically recognized, as well as the use of experimental activities and the didactic laboratory that bring an approach to the construction of scientific knowledge in relations with society. Thus, we analyzed all the works that were presented in the 10 editions of ENPEC, from 1997 to 2017, looking for those that approached experimental activities in chemistry from a historical-philosophical perspective or activities that went back to historical experiments. The search was performed by reading the keywords, titles and abstracts of the works. Only 5 jobs were found. This result demonstrates that this field is still little explored by researchers and chemistry teachers.
