Abstract

With the change of State leaders, changes are observed in various sectors of the country, in economic, health, educational or environmental, and the way to manage resources is given by the priority of the current government. Global Warming is a natural climate factor, aggravated by the capitalist and consumerist mode of society whose main symbol, industry, is responsible for releasing excess greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. In Brazil, the current conceptions of rulers about this phenomenon are evidently distorted and different from the explanations of the scientific community. We propose to discuss a methodological approach, based on Historical-Critical Pedagogy (HCP), which promotes the teaching of the polarity of chemical bonds, addressing the phenomenon caused by greenhouse gases, intensified by negligent human practices. Thus, scientific explanations can serve for students to have clarification on the subject and insight into the evident manipulation to which they may be subjected.
