Transforming questions about solutions from Chemistry textbooks approved in PNLD 2018 into school-type problems

Abstract

This work aims to analyze questions about the content of high school chemistry textbook solutions approved in PNLD 2018, characterized as exercises, and turn them into problems. For this, the statements of the questions found in the books were analyzed based on categories inherent to the reference on teaching and learning based on problem solving, specifically, exercises and problems. The results showed that specific strategies can be adopted to transform exercise utterances into school-type chemistry problems. This study helps teachers to develop new teaching materials (problems) from the Chemistry textbook.
