Abstract

In the list of school subjects, Chemistry is occasionally cited by students as one of the most difficult, due to the degree of abstraction it requires, due to the specific language, scientific thinking and the way that teachers and teachers structure their classes, often based on strategies based on the memorization of facts and data and the use of formulas. In this work, we present the initial proposal of an educational game, named ChemStories, as a didactic strategy with the potential to motivate and develop learning in the classroom and especially for moments in living spaces. We present the process of elaborating the proposal, inspired by the original Black Stories game, to then present three cards and their contexts and, finally, discuss, based on literature criteria, a first theoretical validation. We kept the main feature of the original game, the mystery and macabre character of the stories that give the context of each card.
