TRAINING FOR OBMEP AND ITS IMPACTS ON STUDENTS OF A MUNICIPAL PUBLIC SCHOOL

Abstract

This work sought to describe a training focused on Mathematics Olympics and its academic influence on the learning of the studied content. The objective was to create a project developed in 2017, in a public school in the interior of Ceará, consisting of training those involved in the competition with the use of problem solving methodology and analyzing the impacts on the institution. A literature review was applied and the research was characterized as a participant. It was observed the planning of classes, the results obtained and the performance of students in their daily lives. It was concluded that many students had no experience at OBMEP or with the methodology, but they knew its importance and were motivated to change the school's history with awards and found that student learning is linked to classroom applications. The Fedathi Sequence teaching methodology has been applied with to exact science classes was presented.
