EDUCATION IN THE SOUTHERN AMAZONIAN CONTEXT
A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DOS COLETIVOS POPULARES PARA A DISCUSSÃO CURRICULAR

This article aims to present unique educational practices, developed by popular collectives in the Southwestern Amazon, and reflect on the curriculum and knowledge to be taught and learned in schools in the region. Initially, we argue that when it comes to knowledge production and access there is no single fixed path to follow. Then, we used three educational projects in order to give greater visibility to the training actions developed and the knowledge produced in the specificity of these actions. In the end, we emphasize that, in order to realize the right to education of the South Amazonian population, the school as a social institution continues to have its validated role as a space for knowledge socialization with a view to humanization. However, we underline the need to think about other school curricula based on epistemologies that excel in guaranteeing social, cultural, ethnic-racial and gender diversity, among others.
