Abstract

Trembleya parviflora (D. Don) Cogn. (Melastomataceae), commonly known as “quaresmeira-branca,” is a shrub species native to the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest biomes, occurring in a wide range of environments and vegetation formations. This article proposed a scientometric analysis of scientific publications related to the species, enabling the identification of publication patterns, institutional collaborations, and predominant thematic trends. The methodology included searches in the SciELO, Science Direct, and Scopus databases, resulting in the selection of 16 studies categorized into different areas of focus. Indicators such as the number of citations, geographical distribution of the research, and publication frequency were evaluated. The results revealed a limited volume of studies on T. parviflora, with a predominance of works focused on Plant Ecology and Plant Taxonomy. These studies highlight the species' ecological plasticity and its relevance in taxonomic characterization within the Melastomataceae family. The analysis underscores the need to expand research on T. parviflora, including its pharmacological potential and invasive behavior, especially in environments with high water availability.
