Abstract

In the State of Acre, Brazil, where the climate is hot and humid equatorial, radish cultivation is incipient and studies and incentives are needed for this agricultural crop. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of radish cultivars in an organic system during the winter and summer seasons in Rio Branco, Acre. Two experiments were implemented, one in winter and one in summer, using 14 cultivars. The results indicated that winter is more favorable to agronomic performance, with higher productivity, mainly cultivating the cultivars Branco comprido, Ready, Serrano, Alegro, Apolo, Meio comprido, Novella e Vermelho comprido, with higher productivity performance than the others. In summer, the cultivars Alegro, Novella, Vermelho comprido, Branco, Gigante Sículo, Meio comprido, Apolo, Ready and Serrano are important alternatives for choosing cultivars for cultivation considering production performance.
