Abstract

This article aims to present, in an experience report format, all the actions produced at the beginning of the work of the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID), linked to the Subproject Chemistry, at the Senador Adalberto Sena State High School, in second grade classes, from October to December 2022. It was produced throughout these actions: experimentation using red cabbage extract to conceptualize Acid-Base functions and educational games: word searches and memory game remitting to the object of knowledge "organic compounds". As a result, the good adherence of the students to the actions stands out, with satisfactory results in the resolution of the activities, indicating that the methodology provided a facilitating environment for learning the objects of knowledge. The use of diversified methodologies, according to the results obtained, suggest that students built a more contextualized view of Chemistry, with regard to the identification of phenomena that occur in our daily lives, the classification of common compounds in everyday life, and its behavior and application in chemical concepts, which corroborates with the vision and objectives proposed National Common Curricular Base and the unique Reference Curriculum of the State of Acre.
