The letters and the look to the future: the expectations that Biological Sciences graduates have about their professional trajectories in higher education

This research highlights future professional projections of Biological Sciences graduates described in letters written during the supervised internship subject. Thus, the objective of this research was to understand the expectations that these students have related to a career as a university professor. To this end, a documentary investigation was carried out based on letters written by the students; discursive textual analysis was used to analyze the data. Through the results observed, it was possible to see that many saw the career as promoting professional and personal satisfaction, in addition to enabling life transformations.
