Abstract

The objective of this work was to evaluate the agronomic performance of two soybean cultivars in open and consolidated areas. The experiment was conducted at Fazenda São João in the municipality of Senador Guiomard-Acre, from October 2022 to February 2023. The experimental design used was in randomized blocks (DBC), in a 2x2x5 factorial scheme, with five replications. The factors corresponded to two cultivation areas (consolidated area and planting opening area) and two soybean cultivars (M 8644 IPRO and BONUS 8579 RSF IPRO). For the evaluations, the weight of grains per plant, number of grains per pod, weight of grains per pod, weight of a thousand grains, number of plants in 20 m, number of plants per meter, number of pods per plant and grain yield were considered. There was a significant effect (p<0.05) of the area x cultivar interaction for the variables number of grains per pod and weight of one thousand grains. The weight of grains per pod, weight of a thousand grains, number of plants in linear meter, number of plants in 20 m and productivity in bags ha-1 were significantly influenced (p<0.05) by areas and cultivars, without being influenced by the area x cultivar interaction. The cultivar BONUS 8579 RSF IPRO obtained higher productivity in the opening area (73.43 bags ha-1) and in the consolidated area (108.8 bags ha-1).
