Abstract

This article shows how Chemistry and scientists are represented in the imagination of a class of third-grade elementary school students. For this purpose, drawing was used as a tool in the construction of knowledge, favoring active learning. For this purpose, the objective is to access and verify the imaginary vision of Chemistry and scientists presented by eight of the third-grade elementary students. The use of drawing in relation to Chemistry, in the early years, showed that students are skilled in painting scientific subjects, as well as being very curious, enthusiastic and able to express the experimental dimension of this science and recognize part of nature as an object of study in science classes.
