Abstract

Among the possibilities of didactic resources that can be adopted in chemistry classes, games are considered powerful mediators in the teaching-learning process of chemical concepts. However, studies show that, despite growing, there are few works that discuss theoretical and methodological aspects for the development of play in these classes. Motivated by this finding, this work aims to present and analyze what researchers and educators discuss about games in Quimica Nova na Escola Journal in the period 2009-2020. Data collection occurred through a scan of articles published during this period to identify evidence that referred to the theme. In the 25 articles surveyed, we sought to analyze information related to the authors, Chemistry syllabus developed, educational levels in which games are worked, types of games and their pedagogical objectives. We identified that the discussion about games is representative in the magazine, but those with investigative characteristics are not much discussed.
