This work presents a didactic methodology adapted to Chemistry classes at night, with third-year students from the Waldemon Moraes Coelho State School, in Campo Verde/MT. The objective of the practical activity was to build Carbon Hydrocarbon chains with the use of Styrofoam balls and toothpicks, based on concepts studied in the classroom on chain classifications and general naming rules. During practice, there was interaction between students and the teacher's mediation. Thus, it was shown the importance of breaking wrong and distorted conceptions about the arrangement in space of Organic compounds.
