Abstract

The article elucidates a project that was carried out in a public school located in Nova Venécia, in the state of Espírito Santo, with students in the 1st grade of high school. The interdisciplinary project arose with the objective of integrating the knowledge of the disciplines of chemistry and geography, based on the theme "soils". The qualitative research had its methodology structured based on the three pedagogical moments contemplated by Delizoicov, Angotti and Pernambuco. The results obtained indicate that the interdisciplinary practice in the teaching of chemistry makes it possible to weave a reflection based on the daily life of the students, and to carry out this dialogue with the scientific knowledge mediated in the classroom. In conclusion, although it is challenging to involve interdisciplinarity in the school environment, through the project it was possible for students to interact more with the proposed activities and see themselves as protagonists of their own knowledge.
