In this work, a bibliographic survey was carried out on the theme "continuing education of Chemistry teachers" in the annals of the national meetings of teaching Chemistry (ENEQ) held in 2016 and 2018. It is, therefore, a qualitative investigation, of the bibliographic research type, in which we use three criteria for selection and organization of works: (i) search for key words of interest, (ii) qualitative analysis of titles and (iii) reading of abstracts. Of a total of 290 works that address teacher education, only 18 specifically dealt with the continuing education of teachers, which suggests a greater appreciation of research aimed at initial teacher education to the detriment of continuing education. In this way, we advocate for further research on the continuing education of Chemistry teachers to be carried out and disseminated, in order to offer subsidies to guide training actions aimed at practicing Chemistry teachers.
