Epidemiology of leptospirosis on South- Occident Amazonia’s capital, between 2012 to 2017

Leptospirosis is a zoonosis with clinical, social and economic importance. It is epidemic, especially in metropolitan areas with inadequate sanitation conditions. The objective of this study was to analyze the distribution of leptospirosis according to sociodemographic, epidemiological and clinical resources in the city of Rio Branco / AC from 2012 to 2017. For this, we used information from confirmed cases of descriptive analysis and analysis. from data obtained in the period. A total of 2,722 cases were confirmed during the period, with a cumulative incidence of 61.7 cases / 100 million inhabitants, most of them adult men (64.2%), economically active (42.2%) and with low education (48, 5%) There were 18 deaths resulting from leptospirosis against 2,694 cases in which the disease was cured, showing a mortality rate of 0.7% during the period in the city of Rio Branco.
