How good to have you here: an extension action in the undergraduate chemistry course at Ufac

Abstract

Admission to the university is always a new and at the same time conflicting moment for every freshman, a name normally attributed to the new university student. In this sense, the first week of class, as well as the first months, are characterized as important moments for the permanence of new students, in addition to the maintenance of current students, veterans. Thus, the realization of the extension project “Que Bom Ter Você Aqui!” was characterized as an important and valid moment for the permanence and maintenance of the students of the Undergraduate course in Chemistry at Ufac. The results of the action indicate that the participating students show interest in activities carried out in the first week of class, especially those that are not exclusively focused on approaching contents and chemical concepts.
