Abstract

The municipality of Tomé-Açu, has great agricultural development and is the main economic activity, one of the most important in the State, due to its diversification of production activities. As a result of deforestation in forest areas for agriculture and the growth of the city, the population becomes susceptible to contact with parasitic infectious disease vectors. Geospatial approaches are often used to determine the epidemiology of the region in question. Due to the tiny information on the spatial distribution of the occurrence of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases (DIPs) in the northeast region of Pará and the possibility of new information that contributes to the environmental management of municipalities, this work seeks to elaborate the mapping in time series the last ten years on the cases registered in the Municipality of Tomé-Açu. The present study is a quantitative / explanatory research, in the sense that tuberculosis distributed in the municipality of Tomé-Açu was studied over ten years (2008 - 2018). The data were obtained from SINAN at the municipality's health secretary, to obtain the places where the diseases occurred. After the data import procedure, the kernel density estimator and Moran index were applied. According to the numbers of registered cases, Tuberculosis is a disease with a higher incidence in current years. It is concluded that surveillance and control actions for the health of the population must be intensified.
