Avaliação da qualidade das águas superficiais em áreas turísticas na microbacia do Igarapé Preto em Cruzeiro do Sul-AC

Abstract

The study was carried out in the area of ​​Igarapé Preto, located in Balneário Igarapé Preto, in the municipality of Cruzeiro do Sul, in the Western Brazilian South Amazon, Juruá Valley, its multiple watershed has the development of tourist activities. In recent years, it received the installation of several changing rooms to meet the recreation and leisure activities of the population of the regional Juruá, few studies of water quality were performed in the spring. The present work presents a characterization study in three collection points, located downstream (P1), in the resort (P2), and upstream of the Igarapé Preto resort (P3), from May to October 2018, through the variables physicochemical and microbiological (total alkalinity, pH, electrical conductivity, apparent color, chlorides, chemical oxygen demand, biochemical oxygen demand, dissolved oxygen, oils and greases) observing some parameters set out in classes 2 and 3 of the national council resolution (CONAMA) No. 357/2005 and the verification of the presence and absence of thermotolerant coliforms. The results showed the presence of thermotolerant coliforms possibly from freshwater sewage or from precarious individual treatment systems.
