Abstract

The present work aims to transcribe and systematize the knowledge and conclusions obtained in the classroom and used in the Fluvial Geomorphology field class. During five days traveling through 8 municipalities and crossing from east to west the state of Acre, the group of the sixth period of the Full Degree Course in Geography of the Federal University of Acre (UFAC), participated in activities using the knowledge obtained in the classroom. class, to better visualize and understand various processes and geological aspects of the river system, in the elaboration of relief forms, also visualizing the management of water resources within the watershed. Visiting more than ten rivers from

the Juruá and Purus river basins, the excursion from the UFAC campus in Rio Branco went to the UFAC campus in Cruzeiro do Sul over a distance of over six hundred kilometers. According to Lima and Assis (2005, p. 112), “fieldwork is configured as a resource for the student to understand the place and the world, articulating theory and practice, through observation and analysis of lived space and designed". In this context, it is understood that the field activity consists of direct contact with the study environment outside the bureaucratic walls of the classroom, which allows the teacher to know an efficient and quite useful pedagogical instrument in the teaching-learning relationship.
